Georgia Young Republicans, Inc. ("GYR," "we," "us," or "our") is a Georgia nonprofit corporation and political organization. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information through georgiayr.org and our related forms, email and text programs, and events (the "Services"). By using the Services, submitting any form, or subscribing to our lists, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.

We collect as little information as possible: only what we need to run the organization, communicate with you, comply with the law, and provide a good experience.

• a. Information you give us:
• Mailing list: name, email address, and phone number.
• Contact forms: your name, contact information, and message.
• Membership: name, address, email, phone, date of birth, county, chapter, and voter registration status. Our governing documents require this information to confirm eligibility (ages 18 to 40 and registered to vote in Georgia) and for chapter and national reporting.
• Payments: processed by WinRed. GYR does not receive or store full payment card numbers. We receive transaction details such as name, contact information, amount, and date and, where required by law, employer and occupation.
• Events: registration and ticketing are handled by LeadRight America. We receive the attendee information needed to run the event.
• b. Information collected automatically: basic technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring site, collected through cookies and similar tools for security, analytics, and site functionality.

We use information to:

• administer membership and verify eligibility;
• communicate with you about GYR news, events, volunteer opportunities, and political matters;
• plan and run events;
• process dues, contributions, and registrations;
• comply with legal obligations, including campaign finance reporting;
• protect the security of our Services, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Use; and
• improve the Services.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

• with the Young Republican National Federation and GYR's chartered local clubs, as needed for membership administration and reporting required by our governing documents;
• with service providers that help us operate, including WinRed, LeadRight America, and our email, text, and website providers, each under its own terms;
• with government agencies where required by law, including campaign finance disclosures;
• to comply with legal process, protect the rights, safety, and property of GYR, its members, or others, or enforce our Terms of Use;
• with a successor organization in a merger, reorganization, or transfer of assets; and
• with your consent.

By subscribing to our list or providing your phone number on any GYR form, you consent to receive emails, calls, and text messages from GYR, including messages sent using automated technology, about GYR news, events, and political matters. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out of texts or HELP for help. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Consent is not a condition of membership or of any purchase.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work if cookies are disabled. Our Services do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals.

Information you provide directly to a third-party platform is governed by that platform's own policies:

Each platform is solely responsible for its own data practices and security. GYR is not responsible for the practices of any third party, including social media platforms.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No system is completely secure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, GYR is not liable for unauthorized access to information resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control.

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, or as required by law or our governing documents.

You may unsubscribe at any time. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by emailing info@georgiayr.org. We may keep information we are required to keep by law or our governing documents, or that we need for legitimate organizational records.

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Membership is limited to ages 18 to 40. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy by posting a revised version with a new Effective Date. Continued use of the Services after posting constitutes acceptance.
